APPLICATION
The FRTA-I is used to measure and describe the response of properties of materials, products, or assemblies to heat and flame under controlled laboratory conditions.
The LFL and UFL of gases and vapors define the range of flammable concentrations in air.
The flammability limits rely on the test temperature and pressure. The limits of flammability may be used to determine the guidelines for the safe handling of volatile chemicals and fire risk/hazard assessment–particularly end use.
